Sam Metzler brings over 15 years of combined government and commercial experience to Trijectory, with particular expertise in operations, strategic planning, supply chains, and program management.

His commercial experience includes executive leadership roles at a leading oil and gas corporation, where he demonstrated exceptional ability to scale operations and drive performance improvements. As Executive Vice President of Retail Operations & Dealer Division, he directed daily operations across over 50 locations spanning multiple states and was integral to multiple acquisitions in the company's transportation & logistics and retail verticals. His operational transformation initiatives consistently delivered measurable results through organic growth and strategic expansion.

His operational expertise extends to complex supply chain and logistics management, where he has overseen divisions serving thousands of customers across the Southeastern United States. Sam's strategic leadership includes directing enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, managing cross-functional teams and vendor partnerships to implement integrated operational systems.

Sam holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, a JD from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a U.S. Army veteran and former JAG Corps attorney, he developed his ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and provide strategic guidance in high-stakes environments. Sam is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he lives with his wife and three children.
