Sam Metzler serves as Managing Partner, bringing over 15 years of combined government and commercial experience with particular expertise in operations, strategic planning, supply chains, and program management. His educational credentials include an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, a JD from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a U.S. Army veteran and former JAG Corps attorney, Sam combines operational excellence with legal acumen and strategic leadership capabilities.

Sam's commercial experience includes executive leadership roles at a leading oil and gas corporation, where he demonstrated exceptional ability to scale operations and drive performance improvements. Sam was an integral part of multiple acquisitions in the company’s transportation & logistics vertical, as well as the retail vertical.  As Executive Vice President of Retail Operations & Dealer Division, he directed daily operations across 50+ locations spanning multiple states, and in 2020, successfully executed a large multi-site acquisitions that resulted in approximately 66% business unit growth. His operational transformation initiatives consistently delivered measurable results, including 20% net income growth over previous record performance and successful scaling the fuel supply contracting business from 24 to 34 units through organic growth and strategic expansion.

His operational expertise extends to complex supply chain and logistics management, where he has overseen divisions serving thousands of customers across the Southeastern United States. Sam's strategic leadership includes directing enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, managing cross-functional teams and vendor partnerships to implement integrated operational systems. His military experience as a JAG Corps attorney, providing strategic legal counsel to senior leadership and operational units with over 4,000 personnel, demonstrates his ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and provide strategic guidance in high-stakes environments.
